In my now 30th year of practice as a plastic surgeon, while developing a worldwide reputation for my work in hair restoration and facial plastic surgery I have learned several key professional and life’s lessons. Mastery and excellence in the practice of medicine comes from devotion and passion. Seeking out the provider who is a master in their field of specialization is, for the discriminating and enlightened health care consumer, essential. And finally, while it may be cliché, there is nothing more important than optimal health.
I am living proof of all these lessons. In my aesthetics practice, I have developed an international following, manifest in the fact that more than 75% of my patients fly into Miami to have me as their surgeon, through years of devotion and study and a refusal to ever compromise the level of care I provide. And I have benefitted both in the form of great health with high energy and freedom from all medications by being Dr. Gorana’s patient. I, with her guidance, take ownership of my health and life in what I eat, how I sleep, my exercise routine, my vitamin supplementation, and so much more with the goal being to keep my body inflammation to a minimum and energy to the maximum. So far it is working, and I am a true believer in her skills and knowledge.
Dr. Gorana’s entire focus is on optimizing the health span and quality of life for individuals committed to taking ownership of their health. Innovative, knowledgeable health care providers like her are leading the way to a new paradigm of practicing medicine, where the goal is not to diagnose diseases then recommend medication or surgery. Rather, functional medicine is about optimizing one’s health in a proactive, take-charge fashion, providing nearly unlimited benefits in terms of energy level, longevity, and yes, even beauty. As someone who has devoted my professional career to enhancing the external appearances of my patients, I am more and more convinced that inner health and energy manifests itself as beauty and vitality in a way that surgery can only strive to mimic.
And finally, a bit about myself. I am a University of Miami-trained surgeon who took fellowship training in facial plastic and hair restoration surgery in the San Francisco Bay Area, then returned in 1994 to establish a private practice in the South Miami area. I stand out for my work in hair restoration and hairline lowering surgery, including reparative hair transplantation techniques, but also have the aesthetic surgical experience to address the full range of concerns of my patients- and when something is out of my expertise, am able to refer to some of the most respected colleagues here in Miami as well as throughout the US, many of whom I know through my extensive lecturing and teaching at meetings.
I look forward to seeing and treating you at Divina. And for guys, there is our very own For Him – Divina For Him (you can thank me for that!).
